The Trailer of much awaited Biopic “Thackeray” Released on Wednesday 26th of December 2018.This Throws a light on the Controversial life of Shiv Sena Leader “Balasaheb Thackeray” who was one of the biggest leader in Indian Politics.
He was a fierce and a pretty straight forward leader.
BALASAHEB THACKERAY’S LIFE
Balasaheb Thackeray was born 23rd of January 1926,who started his career not as a politician but as a cartoonist.Many of his cartoons were published in Times of India’s Sunday Edition.
Later along with his brother Srikant Thackeray he started a weekly Cartoon Magazine called as “Marmik”.In the magazine he mostly talked about the growth of non-marathi population in Mumbai(Also called as capital of Maharashtra).
ORIGIN OF SHIV SENA
Later various incidents lead to the formation of a political party which we today know as “Shiv Sena“.It was formed on 19th of june 1966.Basically the name Shiv Sena came from the Marathi King “Chatrapati Shivaji” which meant Shivaji Maharaj’s Army.The basic aim of starting Shiv sena was that the marathi Population should be given preference in the Job Sector in that particular region.
He was also held in court after the Demolition of Babri Masjid which is also highlighted in the Trailer. Thackeray was called as the Hindu Hruday Samrat by most of the People.
“Shiv sena” also has a newspaper named “Samna” which was also started by thackeray.After Balasaheb’s death Shiv sena is Run by Balasaheb’s Son Uddhav thackeray.
Balasaheb died on 17th of november 2012 due to a cardiac arrest in Mumbai.His death left mumbai in shock.
